About Me

Hello, I’m Trish Sequeira, a mama to two darling children, a Jai certified parenting instructor and a high school history teacher.

When I became a mother, I could no longer recognise myself. It felt as though my world had turned upside down in a way I never expected - matrescence took hold and I had no idea what in the world that even meant. The birth of my daughter created such a huge shift in my being that I began to reassess everything. It was at this point that I realised I was blocking out my own intuition and I realised that so much about my own belief systems regarding parenting did not actually sit comfortably with me at all. This is a hard pill to swallow when you are a new mother!

I went back to teaching part time when she had just turned one years old, and I had just fallen pregnant with my second babe. The pandemic hit, and we all pulled in toward each other tighter. After I had my second baby, we made the decision to make a sea change (and have not regretted it for a moment since!). The birth of my children, and that move, have been the biggest catalyst for change in my life.

Rumi says, “the wound is the place the light enters you” and as I move further into motherhood, understanding my wounds, triggers, beliefs and programming, I see more and more of that light entering. But I didn’t do it alone - after my family moved, I actively worked at healing and sought mentors who helped me work through the limiting beliefs that I was holding onto in my life .

Read below to find out the meaning behind the business.

Samsara is a Buddhist and Hindu term representing the spiritual belief in the cycles of life and death and reincarnation. It can translate to ‘wandering through’ meaning we are in this cycle until we achieve liberation. I believe that as mothers we experience many moments of rebirth and often need support and understanding in adjusting to the way our roles transform as our children grow.

I believe that when mothers feel heard, they are able to also give themselves space to connect within and facilitate change. By extension this improves their connections with their children. I focus on understanding the science of children’s brains and our nervous systems, offering strategies to improve your relationship with them and most importantly, offering the knowledge and support that both your emotions and your child’s should be allowed for and validated. Parenting is almost never neat, it’s not perfect and most certainly isn’t easy but we can aim to bring peace into even the most chaotic of moments.

Let’s work together to intentionally parent and create peace in the home.
